Sr. Technical Program Manager, Alexa Shopping / Accessibility

We are seeking for a highly motivated, customer obsessed and entrepreneurial Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) to oversee the Alexa Inclusive Shopping team goals and mechanisms. In this role, you’ll partner with teams across Alexa, Amazon Retail, Legal, Public Policy, and Public Relations to develop programs to define and implement our customer’s shopping trust, fairness, and accessibility initiatives. You will work with product and science leaders across the organization to understand and prioritize key customer concerns and use this to influence various Alexa Shopping product features and roadmap to build inclusive features that meet the needs of underserved populations.

This position requires excellent instincts on customer experience, technical acumen, and the ability to drive change and innovation. The ideal candidate thrives when solving ambiguous problems, builds and scales mechanisms to drive cross-organizational projects, and influences effectively with cross-functional colleagues around the world up to a VP level.

Key job responsibilities
· Manage and implement our accessibility and fairness programs.
· Engage a council of product owners across Alexa Shopping to ensure a holistic program, strategy, and coordinated execution and scaling of initiatives.
· Coordinate cross-organizational project focused on the launch of new customer-facing CX and service capabilities.
· Manage technical projects centered around implementing accessibility and fairness criteria, testing methods, and success metrics toward continuous Accessibility and Fairness conformance.
· Report on the state of accessibility and fairness through documentation of feature conformance.
· Manage and facilitate usability studies with diverse customer groups to influence the product roadmap in alignment with Inclusive CX guidelines
· Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on program status to Alexa Shopping stakeholders and partners.
· Represent Alexa Shopping to Amazon-wide initiatives related to accessibility and fairness.

· 4+ years of work experience in Technical Program Manager or Technical Product Management, working with science and engineering teams.
· Proven ability to manage projects in cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
· Demonstrated organizational skills, and ability to work independently and autonomously.
· Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
· Familiarity with VUI, Conversational AI products, A.I., Machine Learning, Natural Language Understanding, and/or big data.
· Track record of continuous learning about Inclusive CX or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and applying DEI knowledge and skills to business problems.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams or individuals.
