Bachelor’s degree in computers science or equivalent preferred
Capable of conducting comprehensive website, native mobile app, desktop app testing against the WCAG 2.0 Level A & AA Success Criteria as well as the Section 508, using the methodologies like automated scans; screen reader reviews; browser toolbars and plug-ins; color sampling; keyboard only interaction; and code reviews

Should have expertise using the screen readers: JAWS (Windows), NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (Mac OS, iOS), Talkback (Android)

Must have experience in manual keyboard testing techniques.

Should propose possible fixes in code to remove accessibility barriers

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the client and vendors to explain Section 508 issues identified by the team.

Should be involved in Accessibility testing including new development, code updates and review of current pages

Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills

Responsibilities:
Review and analyze website, application, and system specifications and acceptance criteria
Collaborate with QA management to develop effective strategies and test plans
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Evaluate testing results according to specifications and acceptance criteria
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Help troubleshoot issues
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computers science or equivalent preferred with MIn 5 Yrs experience
Relevant experience in any Android mobile and web test automation tools/frameworks (i.e. Appium, Espresso, Selenium, Cucumber)
Relevant experience in developing test strategies, architecting test frameworks and testing tools to support automated testing
Use of de-bugging tools, ability to analyse stack traces, code, log-files and other artifacts
Understanding of version control systems. Experience in using for example SVN.
Working knowledge of a CI system, ideally Jenkins.
Strong programming skills in Java (and A plus if experiance in Android app development)
Proficient with Unix-like systems and command-line tools
Being able to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
Research, share, and recommend new technologies, best practices, and trends
