As an engagement manager, you'll be responsible for developing our community. You'll focus on creating content and sharing best practice examples by using email and social media.

About you
You should have experience of:

marketing in a digital environment,
creating content for different channels,
managing social media accounts for an organisation.
You should have a good understanding of:

human-centred design,
accessibility.
You should have some understanding of content design. We’ll train you in content design principles. You must be keen to learn about content design best practice and passionate about user experience.

About the job
In this role, you’ll share and promote Content Design London’s (CDL) work, ethos and products.

You’ll develop and grow our community by creating content and sharing best practice examples. You’ll help us reach new audiences and increase sales of our services, courses and books.

You’ll be working with a small and fast-moving team who care about accessible and inclusive content.

Responsibilities
As our engagement manager, you’ll work across a range of content formats and channels.

Social media and email
You’ll need to:

research and understand target audiences,
create content and track performance across our channels,
monitor our channels and reply to messages from the community,
manage LinkedIn content for the Managing Director and CEO,
manage the CDL newsletter and blog schedule, working closely with the content team,
raise awareness of the skills and expertise of the CDL team with new and existing clients,
raise and share the voices of our content design community,
develop our voice on social media,
be aware of content trends and new platforms,
make recommendations for how to develop our content and expand our reach.
Marketing
You’ll need to:

create and deliver a strategy that works for us,
promote our services, courses and books,
support the launch of new products, such as planning events,
create and manage opportunities for the team to speak on podcasts and at conferences.
Location
You'll work remotely, but you may have to travel for in-person events and team meetings.

Hours
You’ll work up to 22.5 hours per week (3 days). We’re flexible about when you do these hours, but regular time to work with the team is important.

To help you balance family life and commitments outside of work, we offer a flexible working pattern.

Pay, holiday and benefits
Pay
The salary for this role is £21,000 to £24,600 for 3 days a week, based on your experience. This is the same as £35,000 to £41,000 if the role was full time.

Pay and progression is based on how well you do against the goals we agree each year.

Holiday
You’ll get 16.8 days’ holiday, plus Bank holidays based on your location in the UK.

Benefits
You’ll get a starter box including all the CDL books. You’ll also get a computer and we’ll help you buy a suitable desk and chair.

We offer an annual training budget of £480 per year. In your first year at CDL, the amount of training budget you get depends on when you start working with us.
