Consultation Announcement: Website Accessibility "Audit

Please note, the following freelance opportunity is available only for folks Who are registered legally blind or partially cited living legally in the US.
Allyada has recently launched a project to assess website accessibility across the United States. Our goal is to make the digital world more accessible and inclusive. We highly value the insights that blind and partially sighted individuals can bring to this mission. We are looking for only legally blind or partially sighted individuals to join us as consultants.
Who Can Participate?
• Individuals with proof of blindness (such as a medical document or a certificate from the Commission for the Blind).
• Participants need access to a laptop for the review process. Alternatively, sessions can be conducted at our office in Queens.
Project Overview
• The project involves reviewing 50 websites to evaluate their accessibility standards.
• Review sessions will be held over Zoom and will take about 5 hours in total. Depending on computer skills, this may vary. To make it manageable, sessions will be split into 60-90 minute segments.
• Participants will be paid $500 upon completing the website audits.
• There is also an option to connect with an attorney if you want to take legal action against non-compliant websites.
Compensation and Philosophy
While we offer compensation for your time and effort, our main goal is to create a more accessible internet. The payment acknowledges your valuable contribution to this important cause.
