Meeting the current and future Web Content Accessibility Guidelines to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act is a key component in our mission to drive a best-in-class customer experience on our external digital assets. The Director, Web Accessibility will be responsible for driving our Enterprise Standard to advance accessibility within the Retirement Strategies and Life Businesses.

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving adoption of Prudential’s ADA/WCAG Enterprise Standard
Lead the planning and execution for bringing digital assets up to current and future standards as they emerge
As a champion of change, ensure the ADA/WCAG scope is well understood and following best practices
Provide guidance, direction, and support on new and existing digital content to site, content, initiative owners and key stakeholders
Coordination with 3rd parties, testing teams, technology teams and others that assist with remediation
Partner to build testing strategies/plans, manage financials ensuring testing and remediation is on time and on budget
Responsible for maintaining an annual inventory of digital assets and documentation around testing, reporting/dashboards, and other program activities
Maintain alignment and partnership with ADA Governance, control partners, initiative owners and BAU teams
Identify gaps in business and/or technology workflows and partner to close and/or implement process improvements

Skills and Experience:

Strong managerial and leadership skills with an ownership mentality and proven ability to build relationships
5+ years in program management, product owner or business management role(s)
Previous ADA/WCAG knowledge
Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with problem-solving skills. Ability to make decisions and communicate rationale
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding communication skills, comfortable presenting/communicating to all levels of leadership
