The Exam Services Coordinator works with students, staff, and faculty to coordinate accommodated exams and provision of accessibility on campus with the ultimate goal of ensuring that students with disabilities have full access to their University experience. Manages the daily operations of the Exam Services operation within Student Life Disability Services (SLDS); oversees the coordination and proctoring of 20,000+ accommodated exams annually for The Ohio State University students with documented disabilities; supervises the proper and timely coordination of exam accommodations, including but not limited to: extended time, distraction-reduced environments, assistive technology, accessible formats, and live readers/scribes; supervises 2 regular employees and 25+ student employees; serves as the technical lead for the Alternative Testing module of the Accessible Information Management (AIM) online database management system; collaborates with faculty and staff to provide seamless coordination for proctored exams; oversees the office’s test security and academic integrity efforts; tracks and reports data to determine trends and identify areas of improvement; maintains awareness of campus trends related to course-based pedagogy and technology to update practices and accommodation services accordingly; required to work some evenings and weekends and to be available by phone for occasional phone calls from staff.


Required: Bachelor’s degree; 2 years’ administrative work experience; strong communication skills (both verbal and written), proven interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task; 2 years supervisory experience; 4 years customer service experience; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, database management, and virtual meeting platforms. Experience working with individuals with diverse backgrounds and cultures. Experience designing and implementing educational or training curricula for staff or clients.

Desired: Master’s degree; 3 years’ experience working in higher education, disability services, or student services environment. Experience working in a detail-oriented and fast-paced environment; experience proctoring exams. Experience working with individuals with disabilities. Experience with accessibility software (i.e. JAWS, ZOOM TEXT, Read, Write & Gold).

Targeted hiring range is $49,800.00 to $66,400.00.

By the start of employment, all newly hired employees must receive at least the first dose of a two-dose series or a single dose of a one-dose series COVID-19 vaccination. Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, College of Medicine or OSUP Employees are not eligible for personal exemptions. All exemptions are subject to Ohio State’s approval and subject to change, including revocation, due to legal and regulatory requirements.
