UKG is seeking a Lead QA Accessibility Specialist to help our team define our accessibility test strategies, develop, and execute manual test scripts, and help ensure the delivery of robust, high quality and fully accessible products. As an Accessibility Specialist you are accomplished in testing systems using available assistive technologies to find accessibility issues, recommend solutions for violations found, and have the experience and expertise to expand web accessibility knowledge and practices within the product team.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Execute tests, using assistive technologies and interpret results, communicate on a regular basis to Stakeholders, resulting in quick solutions to any Accessibility violation and quality concerns
• Participate in the design process to advise on accessible design decisions and how they impact/satisfy WCAG success criteria
• Help triage and prioritize accessibility issues and provide guidance for remediation
• Evaluate, select, and implement in collaboration with multiple product teams, accessibility validation tools to further enable speed of feature delivery
• Partner with members of our Product teams to ensure proper accessibility representation and communication to customers and partners
• Demo Use cases and Users Scenario to Service and Development teams using assistive technology like screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver

Qualifications:

• 3 + years of A11y experience in Testing Web Based Application and information technology projects
• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience with a focus on Accessibility testing is preferred
• Expert ability to interpret and advise on accessibility standards, principles, techniques, and best practices - including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Experience using assistive technology including screen reader technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, MAC/IOS VoiceOver, TalkBack), magnification tools, read-aloud tools and keyboard testing
• Knowledge of full software development life cycle, QA methodology, tools and software testing
• Demonstrated familiarity with WAI-ARIA and HTML/CSS semantics and tagging
• Strong communication skills. Comfortable presenting results of an accessibility review to stakeholders or conducting live training sessions
• Familiarity with WCAG guidelines
• Experience conducting system analysis; planning, designing, analyzing, testing, and implementing accessibility solutions
