The Director of Accessibility in Nike’s Reliability/Quality organization is the champion for accessibility for all Global Technology & Consumer Digital experiences. This pivotable leadership role will shape and lead the strategic roadmap for accessibility, ensuring Nike surpasses requirements and becomes recognized as an industry leader. Through collaboration and unbreakable relationships, you will develop the vision to better serve athletes* and translate that vision into key priorities and opportunities across all Geos.
In this role you and your team will evangelize accessibility across Nike’s product, design, and engineering teams. You’ll need to be flexible and adaptable because our world changes daily. You will train and educate communities on the importance of accessibility. You will review new apps and features of both internal and consumer-facing applications to ensure accessibility compliance is always a part of the final product. You’ll work across Nike domains and functional areas to track accessibility deliverables and ensure accessibility compliance activities are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Constantly focusing on all aspects of accessibility from visual, to cognitive, to movement related disabilities. You will drive accessibility best practices from assistive technologies and screen readers, to coordination and execution of accessibility audits. Your experience and influence will help drive the future for Nike.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:
Minimum of 5 or more years of demonstrated program strategy and management experience leading and managing a team with demonstrated ability to coach and develop future leaders
Experience in accessibility implementation, application development, business development, strategic planning, human resource, management or related field
Knowledge and experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 accessibility standards and guidelines
Knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, and Affordable Care Act Section 1557
Knowledge of accessibility solutions is like Google TalkBack functionality, iOS VoiceOver technology, as ZoomText, JAWS, and more
Experience coordinating and executing accessibility audits
Strong collaborative skills to work across myriad stakeholder group to translate goals and objectives into delivery strategies
Comfortable and competent in developing internal and/or external partnerships that leverage resources and improve responsiveness
Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion for quality processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree an additional five years of experience is acceptable.
