Web Accessibility Engineer

With over 3 million hours of support being facilitated through its platform annually, Mable has been growing at a very fast pace and is now over 110+ employees strong. We’re redefining support for disability and aged care in Australia by helping people who are ageing or living with disability to connect with independent support people in their community.

In this role you'll...
- Collaborate with designers to develop reusable components that work with assistive technologies (such as screen readers).
- Guide engineers on how they should resolve accessibility bugs in accordance with WCAG.
- Work with Accessibility consultants to develop QA methods and tools to ensure our applications are accessible.
- Take ownership of accessibility on our web app and hybrid mobile app.

Requirements
Someone with 3-5 years of professional experience in working with frontend web applications
Demonstrated ability to develop accessible components
Expert knowledge of all relevant accessibility guidelines
Extensive knowledge of CSS, JS, HTML and ARIA
Demonstrate empathy for the end user
Comfortable working in an agile environment with a cross-functional team.
Excellent in both written and verbal communication.
