About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager – UI/UX Designer for the Chief Operations Office (COO) Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence team. This individual will provide deep experience designing AI-powered, Agentic, and multimodal digital experiences within large, regulated environments.
This role supports the creation of the next-generation Agentic AI and GenAI platform capabilities, including autonomous workflows, video-to-code journeys, continuous observation systems, and human-in-the-loop decision experiences.
In this role, you will:
- Design end to end UX flows for GenAI and Agentic AI products, including conversational interfaces, human in the loop review experiences, autonomous agent planners and monitoring dashboards, execution traces, and multi step operational workflows enhanced by AI recommendations.
- Develop UX patterns tailored to banking operations roles—agents, supervisors, QA, and risk reviewers—grounded in usability testing, behavioral observations, and telemetry insights.
- Create UX structures aligned to enterprise O2A pipelines, incorporating video based task observation, behavioral clustering, insight generation, and downstream task automation.
- Produce high fidelity UI designs that meet enterprise visual standards and WCAG 2.1+ accessibility requirements.
- Contribute to enterprise patterns for AI centric UI components, such as prompt cards, explainability elements (XAI), confidence indicators, agent planning visibility, and task traces.
- Ensure UX compatibility with platform level AI constructs, including semantic graphs, multimodal ingestion outputs, workflow orchestration, model insights, and structured reasoning surfaces.
- Translate complex AI outputs into intuitive UX, simplifying model reasoning, agent decisions, and confidence signals for operational users.
- Define interaction models across the assisted–autonomous spectrum, covering agent orchestration visibility, human override, verification workflows, auditability, and governance controls.
- Design for enterprise grade compliance and risk needs, including PII masking, data lineage, exception routing, rollback states, hallucination controls, and audit log visibility.
- Conduct field studies with Operations teams (Fraud, Claims, Contact Center, IT Ops, etc.) and map end to end journeys incorporating SLAs, compliance checkpoints, and exception heavy processes.
- Convert regulatory and policy requirements into scalable, understandable UX, ensuring clarity for high risk operational environments.
- Partner with Product Management on experience strategy and roadmap, and collaborate with AI/ML and engineering teams to visualize models, handle error states, and ensure designs are production ready within enterprise O2A and Agentic AI architectures.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including high-fidelity visuals, interaction flows, and decision-support interfaces.
- Experience designing AI-driven or data-intensive applications (e.g., LLM interfaces, automation, agent-based systems).
- Proficiency with Figma plus familiarity with tools such as Miro, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Experience conducting user research and structured usability testing.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+).
- Ability to work through ambiguity in rapidly evolving AI strategy environments.
- Familiarity with: LLM UX patterns, Conversational UI, Autonomous agent workflows, Human-in-the-loop design, Explainability / trust signals, Responsible AI and model governance
- Experience designing dashboards and complex multi-step workflow systems.
- Ability to translate complex data science concepts (confidence, anomaly detection, semantic matching, clustering) into user-friendly UI components.
- Comfortable working within enterprise-scale AI/automation operating models and governance routines.
