Senior Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Analyst

Zencon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Analyst to support a fast-paced, data-driven IT environment within a State government or equivalent organization. This hybrid role combines business analysis and quality assurance responsibilities across the full system development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
Translate business needs into technical requirements and support UAT
Write user stories and application documentation
Design, execute, and document QA testing activities throughout the SDLC
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices
Perform functional, regression, white-box, black-box, accessibility (508/ADA), and responsive design testing
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards
Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements and test management
Collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, data-driven IT environment (State government or equivalent preferred)
5+ years of experience in business analysis and quality assurance testing
Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
Experience with test planning, regression testing, and SDLC methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
Knowledge of accessibility testing (WAVE tool), acceptance testing, and testing documentation standards
Ability to quickly learn and test unfamiliar applications

Preferred Qualifications

Basic SQL knowledge
Experience with Selenium, Katalon, or other automated testing tools
Experience with security testing tools (e.g., Veracode)
Experience with financial systems and Visio workflow documentation
