**This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.**

**Why This Role Is Important**

Making our digital platforms accessible is central to our public service mission. To us, accessibility is about more than just meeting compliance standards; it is about ensuring that everyone in Canada — including those with temporary or permanent disabilities — can access news, arts and entertainment content barrier-free.

With our web, mobile and streaming products in a state of constant evolution, accessibility must be built-in by design, validated before going live and consistently upheld over the long term. As an intermediate analyst, you will play a vital role in evaluating our digital experiences, tracking improvements and supporting our teams to ensure we never backslide on progress.

Your work will directly strengthen the quality of our products and uphold our commitment to digital inclusion.

**How You Will Make an Impact**

As a member of the Digital Accessibility team, you will provide comprehensive analysis and ongoing support to our product teams. You will:

* Plan and conduct audits for web, mobile and streaming services using a mix of manual and automated testing, aligned with in-house standards and external frameworks like WCAG and the Accessible Canada Act.

* Analyze and diagnose issues, identifying the root causes of accessibility barriers and assessing their impact on the user experience.

* Create clear, prioritized reports that offer practical, actionable recommendations for our development and product teams.

* Track bug fixes, validate delivered solutions and document any regressions.

* Work with teams during early development phases (discovery, design and acceptance criteria definition) to incorporate accessibility requirements from day one.

* Actively contribute to in-house documentation (guides, design patterns, checklists, examples) by enhancing existing content and proposing new tools.

* Review public accessibility feedback and user testing data to help categorize issues and guide meaningful fixes.

* Suggest improvements to our workflows and tooling to make accessibility testing more consistent and efficient across all platforms.

**What You Bring**

* At least three years’ relevant experience in digital accessibility, specialized QA or functional analysis for digital products.

* Deep familiarity with WCAG (2.1/2.2) guidelines, WAI-ARIA and digital accessibility best practices.

* Proven experience performing manual and automated accessibility audits/testing across web, mobile and connected TV platforms.

* Ability to prioritize issues based on risk, user impact and the technical effort required to fix them.

* Strong proficiency with evaluation tools (e.g., Axe, ARC Toolkit, WAVE) and assistive technologies (e.g., VoiceOver, NVDA/JAWS, voice control or equivalent).

* Understanding of Agile environments and digital delivery cycles (user stories, acceptance criteria, reviews, CI/CD, QA).

* Comfort working in partnership with product, design and development teams; diplomatic and solutions-oriented approach.

* Proven ability to make complex issues understandable and positively influence teams.

* Ability to work diligently and independently, be organized and manage priorities effectively.

* Knowledge of, or passion for, the digital media industry a definite asset.

* Solid command of French; working knowledge of spoken and written English an asset.

**Nice-to-Haves**

* Professional accessibility training or certification (IAAP CPACC, WAS or other).

* Experience working in high-volume, multiplatform digital environments.

Please note this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually. This regular position is not a consulting assignment but a long-term opportunity with competitive CBC/Radio-Canada employee benefits.

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

As part of our recruitment process, candidates who advance to the next

step will be asked to complete a background check. This includes:

* A mandatory Criminal record check.

* Other background checks may be conducted based on the operational requirements of the position.
