At CBA our goal is to deliver dignity by design. At the forefront of this mission is our digital accessibility team, supporting our wider digital team to deliver digital platforms are inclusive and accessible to all. The digital accessibility team is part of the Retail Banking Services (RBS) Strategy Centre of Excellence (CoE) and sits within the award-winning Experience Design Chapter.
**About the role**
As a Senior Accessibility Manager, you will report to the Digital Accessibility Chapter Lead and join a dedicated team of digital accessibility specialists.
This 6-month fixed term role is pivotal to enhancing the accessibility of our digital platforms, primarily our internet banking website, NetBank. You'll work closely with product designers, product owners, and engineers to ensure our web interfaces are seamless and accessible.
**What will your day look like?**
* Work with designers to review Figma designs through an accessibility lens
* Define accessibility build requirements for web engineers to apply accessibility semantics, properties and behaviours in code
* Perform Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v2.2 level AA conformance testing and assistive technology review of new and updated web pages and provide accessibility sign off
* Collaborate with the rest of the digital accessibility team to ensure our advice and approach is correct and consistent
**What will you bring?**
* You will bring significant experience in specialist digital accessibility roles working directly with design, technical and business roles
* Extensive experience using assistive technologies, settings and adaptive strategies across PC, Mac, iPhone and Android devices
* Deep knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v2.2 and WAI-ARIA markup
* Experience using accessibility testing tools
* A knack for explaining digital accessibility to any audience in plain language
* The ability to diagnose code-level web accessibility issues and give detailed recommendations (HTML & ARIA required, React preferred but not required)
* Confidence and ability to work independently and autonomously
* Proactive, pragmatic approach and a clear, adaptable communication style
* Experience working in large and complex organisations (preferred but not required)
* Experience working with web component design systems (preferred but not required)
