UI/UX Designer

The UI/UX Designer will lead user engagement initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage advanced design tools to deliver systems that are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with both user and business needs. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, creative problem-solving capability, and a commitment to human-centered design principles.

- User Research and Design Leadership.
- Lead user research initiatives, conduct journey mapping, and synthesize insights to enhance user interaction experiences.
- Apply design-thinking methodologies to identify opportunities for usability and process optimization.
- Produce artifacts such as detailed wireframes, prototypes, and visual hierarchies that comply with accessibility standards and branding guidelines.
- Collaborative and Stakeholder Engagement.
- Partner with our client and cross-functional teams, ensuring UI/UX designs adhere to industry best practices.
- Utilize a variety of UX/UI tools, including Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Hotjar, to design, test, and optimize user experiences.
- Integrate usability testing, responsive design techniques, and SEO optimization principles into design workflows.
- AI/ML Interface Design Develop user interfaces for systems utilizing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with a focus on explainability (XAI) and intuitive human-AI interaction principles. Complex System Design for Regulated Industries.
- Design intuitive solutions for systems with complex business logic, particularly in sectors such as government services, healthcare, or finance that require strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Design inclusively with a deep understanding of WCAG and other accessibility guidelines to ensure compliance and usability for all users.
- Translate complex data and AI insights into clear, visually compelling formats that support informed decision-making and enhance user understanding. User Advocacy and Accessibility.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, sprint planning, and feedback sessions to ensure alignment of design concepts with business objectives.

**Here’s What You Need**

- Proven UX Design Expertise.
- Demonstrate extensive skills in user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping (low and high-fidelity), usability testing, and user experience analysis.
- Data Visualization Expertise.
- Demonstrate an empathetic commitment to understanding user needs and advocating user-centered design principles.
- 4 years required hands-on experience designing user interfaces and experiences for enterprise systems, including wireframes, prototypes, and visual hierarchies using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch.
- 4 years required demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into intuitive design solutions that align with accessibility and branding standards.
- 4 years required experience applying UX design principles such as hierarchy, contrast, and alignment to create responsive and accessible web and mobile interfaces.
- 4 years required experience creating wireframes and prototypes that support agile development cycles, including sketch-to-visual fidelity transitions.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

**Desired Qualifications:**

- Familiarity with eligibility determination systems or similar rule-based, data-intensive applications is highly desirable.
- 5 years preferred experience designing graphical diagrams and visual narratives to communicate timelines, workflows, and system architecture.
- 3 years preferred demonstrated ability to facilitate design workshops and feedback sessions with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
- 3 years preferred strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort.

**Working Conditions**

- Professional office environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Austin, TX.

- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.

- Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
