Role Description

We are seeking an experienced E-pub Developer with expertise in PDF Accessibility for a contract, remote role. The candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and converting e-pub files, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG and PDF/UA. Daily tasks include remediation of PDFs to meet accessibility requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality of accessible e-publishing deliverables.

Qualifications

* Proficiency in e-pub development, including experience with HTML, CSS, XML, and related tools.
* Thorough understanding of accessibility compliance standards such as WCAG, PDF/UA, and Section 508.
* Expertise in PDF remediation tools like Adobe Acrobat, CommonLook, or other similar platforms.
* Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing accessibility features in e-pub files and PDFs.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and accessible output.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
* Relevant certifications in accessibility standards (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or similar) are a plus.
* Prior experience in educational content development will be considered an asset.
