Senior Technical Program Manager - Accessibility

Job Description:

Atlassian is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) focused on Accessibility to join our team in San Francisco, California. As a Senior TPM, you will play a critical role in driving the accessibility strategy and execution across our product portfolio. You will collaborate with engineering, product, design, and legal teams to ensure our products meet WCAG standards and are usable by everyone.

Responsibilities:

* Define and drive Atlassian's accessibility strategy and roadmap.
* Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate accessibility into the software development lifecycle.
* Provide technical guidance and best practices on accessibility standards and implementation.
* Conduct accessibility audits and assessments of our products.
* Collaborate with external accessibility experts and advocates.
* Educate and empower teams on accessibility best practices.
* Track and report on accessibility progress and key metrics.
* Stay up-to-date with evolving accessibility standards and technologies.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 5+ years of experience in technical program management or a related role.
* Deep understanding of accessibility principles, guidelines (WCAG), and standards.
* Experience with accessibility testing tools and methodologies.
* Strong technical background with experience in software development.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
* Experience working in an Agile environment.
* Passion for creating inclusive products.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
* Experience managing accessibility programs at scale.
* Familiarity with assistive technologies.
* Experience with user research and usability testing, with a focus on accessibility.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in San Francisco, California.
