Web Accessibility SME Consultant

Our client, a leading organization in the education and technology sector, is seeking a Web Accessibility SME Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Web Accessibility SME Consultant

**Location:**Remote

**What's the Job?**
* Provide guidance and expertise on web accessibility standards, including WCAG, Section 508, and ADA regulations.
* Support the implementation and expansion of the Accessibility Capability Maturity Model across various educational institutions and systemwide entities.
* Review, analyze, and validate documentation, processes, and resources related to web accessibility compliance.
* Deliver training, facilitate webinars, and develop resources to enhance accessibility awareness and skills.
* Conduct Accessible Capability Maturity Model Assessments and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

**What's Needed?**
* Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to digital accessibility, including WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and ADA.
* Experience in web accessibility, compliance, or related fields, with a demonstrated understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically review and evaluate accessibility documentation and products.
* Effective communication skills, including presentation and facilitation abilities, with a focus on cultural competency.
