Quality Assurance Tester

KYM is seeking a QA Tester with expertise in manual testing, test automation, and Section 508 accessibility compliance. You'll work within our Agile DevSecOps teams to ensure our web applications, APIs, and documents meet quality and accessibility standards.

#### **Responsibilities:**

Design and execute manual and automated tests for web applications, APIs, and databases

Develop automated test scripts using Selenium and Cypress

Perform Section 508 compliance testing based on WCAG 2.0+ standards (Level A & AA)

Conduct screen reader testing (JAWS) and manual keyboard navigation testing

Test document accessibility (PDFs, Word, Excel)

Document defects and accessibility issues in JIRA with clear remediation guidance

Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment

#### **Minimum Requirements:**

#### **Bachelor’s Degree**

8 years of software testing experience

3+ years of Section 508/accessibility testing experience

3+ years of manual testing experience (test planning and execution)

Hands-on experience with test automation (Selenium, Cypress, or similar)

Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.0+ (Level A & AA)

Proficiency with JAWS screen reader and keyboard testing techniques

Experience testing PDFs, Word, and Excel for accessibility compliance

#### **Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies**

Experience with JIRA and Confluence

Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS EOD and fitness determination. Please Note: DHS EOD requires U.S. Citizenship.

Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

#### **Desired**

Trusted Tester 5.x certification or familiarity

Additional accessibility tools (Axe Expert, ANDI, NVDA, Color Contrast Analyzers)

API testing tools (Insomnia, JMeter)

Experience with React, Vue, Next.js, Java/Spring Boot, Oracle

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Harness)

#### **Business analysis experience**

DHS or SECRET current clearance strongly preferred.

Federal government consulting experience is a plus

#### **Compensation**

The annual starting range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of successful candidates.
