The Events and Accessibility Supervisor is responsible for the planning and execution of all Straz events for all front-of-house functions, as well as supporting the delivery of the Straz Center's accessibility goals. This position recruits, trains, schedules, and assigns tasks to the Event Coordinators, ensuring they have the tools and information needed to plan the season effectively. This role is responsible for the implementation of new initiatives to ensure an inclusive experience for all guests. The Accessibility Supervisor will work closely with the Senior Manager of Guest Services.

Essential Functions:
Leadership and Planning
- Be the main point of contact for event planning across all performance spaces and be the lead event coordinator for Morsani Hall.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Event Coordinator team, nurturing talent through effective recruitment, and development, resulting in a high performing and effective team.
- Coordinate all employment-related procedures for the Event Coordinators, including and not limited to payroll, schedules and performance reviews.
- Maintain physical readiness and desired condition of all theater lobbies, ensuring all relevant equipment is present and in good working order.
- Oversee the coordination of all front of house event planning and delegate specific venues and events to the event coordinating team. This can be by theater or by events depending on the scheduling and capacity of the Event Coordinator team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure our guests receive seamless experiences.
- Attend production meetings and other event planning sessions as needed.
- May assume responsibilities of direct reports during scheduled and/or unscheduled absences.
- Ensure all event settlements are completed accurately and in a timely manner for all events.
Event Merchandise
- Ensure all requested equipment and facilities are in place for the event merchandise set-up.
- Maintain and provide a list of local merchandise sellers who can be recruited by touring companies directly.
- Complete merchandise settlements accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee merchandise deliveries and returns.
Guest Accessibility Management
- Be the main point of contact for ADA requests for guests and volunteers to ensure seamless guest and volunteer experiences.
- Responsible for all booking and delivery of accessibility services and equipment provided to guests and staff, including but not limited to seating accommodation, assistive listening, captioning services and wayfinding.
- Support the Senior Manager of Guest Services in the implementation of accessibility projects to improve guest experience and ensure all guests feel welcome.
- Keep up to date with advances in technology and ADA services to ensure the Straz is delivering world leading guest experiences.
Development and Implementation of Initiatives
- Lead the development and implementation of new initiatives aimed at improving the overall guest experience.
- Gain feedback from Event Coordinators, House Managers and Volunteers to identify areas for improvement.
- Create and manage project plans for new initiatives, ensuring timely and successful execution.
Compliance and Industry Standards
- Stay informed on current legal requirements and ensure all practices and facilities are in full compliance.
- Monitor industry-leading practices and emerging trends in accessibility to incorporate best practices into the Center's operations.
- Provide regular training and updates to staff and volunteers on all aspects of their roles.
General Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Guest Services Manager in regular and effective communication to volunteers and house managers.
- Oversee the Floor Captain recruitment and development program, as well as schedule their annual meetings and appreciation events.
- Complete the parking needs schedule and shuttle service monthly.
- Foster strong relationships with community organizations and advocacy groups to promote inclusivity.
- Prepare and present regular reports on accessibility initiatives, compliance status, and guest feedback to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement
- Collect and analyze guest feedback related to accessibility to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement a continuous improvement approach to accessibility services, regularly updating and enhancing offerings based on feedback and best practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position supervises the Event Coordinators, including recruitment, training, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring proper quality of work.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contributes to overall team effort in planning and development and shares in the decision-making process, implementing and promoting all decisions in a spirit of cooperation while exercising sound judgment.
- Assists in departmental functions and special events and performs other duties when necessary to ensure the overall smooth operation of the department.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Strong computer aptitude with Microsoft software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Knowledge of ticketing systems, crowd management techniques, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in guest services practices.
- Possesses good human relations skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle medical and emergency situations.
- Demonstrates poise and tact with dealing with Patrons (external and internal).
Education and Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event/stage management.
- Previous experience of accessibility services, preferably in a performing arts or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of ADA requirements and accessibility best practices.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for creating inclusive environments and enhancing guest experiences.
- Experience working with accessibility-related technology and tools.
- Familiarity with the performing arts industry.
- Certification in accessibility or related field (e.g., Certified ADA Coordinator).
- Certification in CPR and Basic First Aid preferred.
- Previous experience managing/supervising a volunteer staff preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience in data entry and report/query production.
- Experience as a volunteer in a structured environment preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Access database development and maintenance preferred.
