**About the Role:-
**

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer I to join the Identity team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the project by designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient automation test frameworks. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our RESTful APIs and frontend applications through robust testing strategies, including Cucumber-based tests and CI/CD pipeline integrations.

**Responsibilities:-
**

* Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain efficient automation test suites using Cypress (primary) or Playwright.
* Design: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
* API Testing: Support and perform comprehensive testing for RESTful APIs to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
* BDD Implementation: Write and maintain Cucumber tests to support Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices, ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* CI/CD Integration: Architect and enhance the test automation framework (e.g., Page Object Model, data-driven testing, best practices) using TestNG/JUnit, Maven, and CI/CD integrations.
* Accessibility Testing: Perform automated and manual accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines using tools like Axe or Pa11y.
* Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify requirements and ensure sufficient test coverage.
* Defect Management: Identify, record, document significantly, and track bugs using defect tracking tools.

**Requirements:-
**

* Experience: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
* Automation Tools: Proven expertise in writing automation tests using Cypress or Playwright. Strong preference for candidates with Cypress experience as it is currently utilized in the project.
* API Testing: Solid understanding of RESTful API concepts and experience testing them using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or within Cypress/Playwright.
* Cucumber / BDD: Hands-on experience writing Cucumber feature files and implementing step definitions (Gherkin syntax).
* CI/CD Pipelines: Experience setting up execution of automation suites in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
* Accessibility Needs: Knowledge of WCAG standards and experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, Lighthouse, NVDA).
* Programming Skills: Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript (Project stack is Next.js/TypeScript).
* Experience with Next.js and React applications.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker).
* Knowledge of performance testing tools.
* Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript
* Testing: Cypress, Jest, Cucumber
* Infrastructure: AWS
