Position Summary

The Disability Access & Talent Success Specialist helps ensure Galt candidates and associates have the accommodations, resources, and guidance they need to succeed. This role leads disability certification and compliance activities, coordinates workplace accommodations, and builds trusted relationships with candidates, associates, clients, and referral sources.

This person plays an important role in strengthening disclosure, reducing barriers to employment, and improving outcomes for people with disabilities. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to Galt’s mission.

This role primarily supports Galt State Services and collaborates across the organization as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Disability Certification and Compliance

- Maintain disability documentation in support of program, contract, and legal requirements.
- Facilitate disability certification and compliance processes with accuracy, timeliness, and discretion.
- Track and report disability ratio data required to maintain state-use contracts and other certification requirements.
- Ensure documentation and reporting align with organizational policies and applicable requirements.

Workplace Access and Accommodations

- Lead the interactive process to assess, recommend, and coordinate reasonable accommodations.
- Work with associates, clients, and internal team members to implement accommodations effectively and on time.
- Monitor accommodation effectiveness and adjust as needed to promote successful employment outcomes.
- Identify barriers and recommend practical solutions that improve workplace inclusion.

Candidate and Associate Support

- Build trust with candidates and associates to support informed, voluntary disability disclosure.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on workplace accommodations, accessibility, and disability-related questions.
- Connect associates with relevant internal resources and external services as appropriate.
- Work with internal teams on employee relations matters involving disability access, accommodations, or other barriers to success.

Client and Community Relationships

- Maintain and grow relationships with referral sources, community organizations, and other mission-aligned groups.
- Serve as a trusted resource to clients and community organizations on workplace accessibility and disability inclusion.
- Strengthen engagement through consistent communication, responsiveness, and follow-through.
- Help expand Galt’s talent pipeline by cultivating relationships that connect qualified candidates to employment opportunities.

Education and Advocacy

- Educate internal teams, clients, and community stakeholders on workplace accessibility, disability inclusion, and related best practices, and provide practical guidance to improve accessibility.
- Support other disability inclusion initiatives and related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Relevant experience matters more than a specific degree for this role. Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, including disability services, workforce development, vocational rehabilitation, accommodations support, case management, staffing, human services, or related fields.

Two or more years of relevant experience preferred. Experience supporting candidates and associates with disabilities in employment or community-based settings is strongly valued.

Strongly Preferred

- Lived experience with disability, caregiving, or another direct personal connection to the communities Galt serves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

- Strong organization and follow-through, especially in documentation, tracking, and compliance-related work
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion
- Commitment to disability inclusion and belief in the value of an untapped workforce

Technical Skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Experience with Bullhorn or other applicant tracking or CRM systems is a plus

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

- Remote office environment with standard office equipment
- Ability to operate a computer and perform desk-based work for extended periods
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, client visits, training, conferences, or other job-related responsibilities

Reports to: Vice President, Galt State Services

Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $33.65 per hour, commensurate with experience
