Lead QA Accessibility Tester

Overview:

We are seeking a Lead QA Accessibility Tester to lead a dynamic team. This role combines

hands-on testing expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring

compliance with accessibility standards and delivering inclusive digital

experiences.

Key

Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of QA testers focused on accessibility compliance across Verizon’s digital platforms.
* Collaborate closely with the QA Manager to define testing strategies, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery.
* Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing using tools such as Axe, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and others.
* Review and validate WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance across web and mobile applications.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testers, fostering a culture of quality and inclusion.
* Document findings, create detailed reports, and communicate results to development and design teams.
* Stay current with evolving accessibility standards and best practices.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in accessibility testing and QA leadership.
* Strong understanding of WCAG guidelines, ADA compliance, and Section 508.
* Familiarity with assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work onsite in NYC 3 days per week and remotely from anywhere in the U.S. the remaining days.

Preferred

Qualifications:

* IAAP CPACC or WAS certification.
* Experience working in telecom or enterprise environments.
* Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
