The Information Technology Associate (ITA) works as a team member on a variety of web and web-related technology assignments. The ITA uses their skills and knowledge with IT and web-related technologies, collaboration techniques, and their verbal and written communication skills to primarily assist Department staff who use software and systems supported by the Web Services Office. The ITA will function as a professional on the systems, as well as the Department's web standards and accessibility requirements. The ITA will utilize their knowledge of HTML, CSS, the MS Office suite, and Adobe PDF for their own work and to assist other Department staff. The ITA will be a contributing member of a positive and highly cooperative team that supports the Department's websites and web-related systems.

Working Conditions
HYBRID
This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. A hybrid telework schedule includes working remotely and physically reporting to the office.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS

The SOQ should have a title of “Statement of Qualifications, Your Name,” be no more than 2 pages, no smaller than 12-point font, and address the following:
Experience and/or education obtained in website creation and maintenance using a CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VBScript, ARIA, and related technologies.
Proficiency with web and PDF accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines and remediation techniques.
Background in website testing: with testing tools and methodologies to ensure functionality, usability, and compliance.
Ability and desire to work in a highly collaborative team and demonstrated excellence as a communicator.
