**Accessibility Manager** (Sr. Technical Writer) Toronto, ON (hybrid - 2D a week) 6 months' Contract (potential for Extension/Conversion to Permanent role) **Line of Business** - Marketing Communications **What does the LOB do?:** Responsible for developing creative content for the bank, including PowerPoints, social media, digital content, and other marketing assets. The team supports internal business partners and works closely with brand governance, designers, copywriters, and external agencies to deliver compliant, high quality marketing outputs. **What project will this contractor be working on?** The contractor will act as an accessibility subject matter expert to build an Accessibility Toolkit and Guidelines for marketing. The deliverable will be used by internal teams and external marketing partners to ensure all content meets accessibility standards. **Key components include:** * Translating WCGAG 2.1 A/AA requirements into easy-to-use, clear, guidelines and job aids * Authoring concise, non-verbose documentation * Providing accessibility POV on marketing materials * Provide execution guidance for PDFs, PowerPoints, charts, graphs, and digital assets aligned with brand standards * Audit existing materials and identify gaps and opportunities * Stay current on evolving accessibility standards and best practices * Deliver training and enablement sessions to internal teams and agency partners (as required) * Participating in weekly project status updates and milestone tracking **What you'll be doing** We are seeking a strategic, passionate, and technically adept Senior Marketing Manager to lead the implementation of accessibility best practices across marketing and communications. This role will be instrumental in ensuring full compliance with the Accessible Canada Act (ACA), Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 / 2.2). The role analyses issues, data, processes and situations, working closely with internal partners and stakeholders. It also involves innovation, and substantial communication, drafting content, and problem-solving skills to ensure all marketing content meets accessibility standards. **Must Have Requirement:** * 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, creative services, or digital content * 5+ of technical writing experience * 3+ years in accessibility and inclusive design. * 3+ Deep understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1/2.2, and their application to marketing and digital communications including websites, PDFs, videos, emails, and social media with proven experience * Strong knowledge of relevant accessibility legislation: ACA, AODA, and applicable provincial/federal standards. * Proven ability to lead accessibility integration within creative and content workflows, and to assess marketing output for compliance. * Experience with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers, contrast analyzers, HTML/CSS validators). * Effective communicator and writer, skilled in simplifying complex regulations for non-technical audiences * Experience performing accessibility audits and developing remediation recommendations for web, email, social media, video, PDF. * Understanding of creative and brand systems, and how to align accessibility with visual and verbal identity standards. **Nice to Have:** * Certification in accessibility (e.g. CPACC, WAS, Trusted Tester) is considered a strong asset
