Accessibility Coordinator Location: PCS CHE, Chennai Years of Experience: 2-5 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Development Specialist with a strong emphasis on Usability Testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards, particularly WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, and hands-on experience with various screen readers. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure our software products are user-friendly and compliant with accessibility guidelines. Responsibilities * Conduct usability testing to evaluate the accessibility and user experience of software applications. * Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards throughout the software development lifecycle. * Utilize screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, AIRA) to assess and improve application accessibility. * Implement semantic HTML practices to enhance web accessibility. * Evaluate mobile accessibility and ensure applications are optimized for mobile devices. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility features into software products. * Maintain awareness of compliance requirements and best practices in accessibility. * Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing of banking applications. Mandatory Skills * Strong knowledge of Usability Testing. * Mastery of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 accessibility standards. * Hands-on experience with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, AIRA). * Proficient in semantic HTML and mobile accessibility. * Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing. * Banking experience is highly desirable. * Excellent communication skills. Preferred Skills * Knowledge of Online Banking and Bill Payment (OLBB) systems. * Familiarity with point of sale systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
