Assistive Technology Coordinator

The SDRC Assistive Technology (AT) Coordinator manages the AT Lab to ensure accessible university programs and services for students with disabilities. This role oversees all assistive technology equipment and software licenses, develops and maintains SDRC online resources, and promotes their effective use among students, prospective students, and faculty. The coordinator provides instruction through group presentations and individual support, serves as a subject matter resource for assistive technologies, and leads the development and testing of SDRC digital content, including websites and videos. Additionally, the role includes supervising, training, and providing technical guidance to student staff and volunteers supporting AT services. Primary duties include providing digital accessibility training (including USC websites, Word, PDF, and PowerPoint files) related to Universal Design, maintaining the SDRC website ensuring content accessibility, training on AT equipment and overseeing its maintenance and licensing, assisting Testing Coordinators on accessible software updates, and proctoring exams as needed to support students with accommodations.
