We are looking for a talented PHP/JavaScript/React Developer to join our dynamic team. Position Overview

As a PHP/JavaScript/React Developer at Zenyth, you will be at the forefront of implementing accessibility best practices across various development environments, languages, and stages of the project lifecycle. You will work closely with our accessibility auditors and other developers to ensure that our digital solutions are inclusive and meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications using PHP frameworks like Symfony and Laravel.
Build robust front-end interfaces using JavaScript and React.
Collaborate with accessibility auditors to identify and fix accessibility issues.
Participate in code reviews, ensuring that accessibility is always a priority.
Work in various development environments and adapt to different project lifecycle stages.
Engage in agile development processes, including sprints and scrum meetings.
Create comprehensive documentation and comment code for better maintainability.
Remediate existing websites to WCAG 2.1 level AA
Rebuild/replatform websites to WCAG 2.1 level AA
Internal web application development to WCAG 2.1 level AA


Required Skills and Qualifications

Excellent English Communication Skills: Ability to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.
Command Line Interface: Proficiency in Windows and Linux Command Line Interface.
GitHub Knowledge: Experience with version control and collaborative coding.
PHP (Symfony and Laravel): Advanced proficiency.
JavaScript: Advanced proficiency.
React: Experience in building user interfaces.
HTML & CSS: Strong understanding, especially of semantic HTML for accessibility.
Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment.
Interest in Learning About Accessibility: Basic knowledge of accessibility is required, particularly the correct usage of semantic HTML.
Development Environments and Processes: Solid understanding of various development environments and processes, including sprints, agile, scrum, documentation, and commenting code.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Principles: Familiarity with WCAG principles and assistive technology.
Communication: Effectively communicate via video conferencing (Zoom), Slack, and email.

Desired Skills

Familiarity with ARIA and ARIA patterns.
Experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, WordPress, Webflow, and Magento.

Timezone Expectations

At Zenyth, our core working hours are between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). We value collaboration and believe that overlapping work hours are essential for effective communication and teamwork. Therefore, we expect all employees to have a minimum of 5-6 hours of work time that overlaps with our core hours.

This ensures that you can actively participate in team meetings, collaborate on projects, and be available for any urgent tasks or discussions that may arise during these hours. If you are in a different timezone, please consider this requirement carefully to ensure that you can commit to this overlap before applying for the position.
