Job Summary

AECOM has an immediate opening for a Digital Accessibility Compliance Specialist to support a team based in Germantown MD. This team supports AECOM deliverables nationwide for our Federal, State/Local, and private customers across many domains areas including, but not limited to, transportation, environmental, military, emergency management and disaster recovery, as well as utilities.

Job Summary

Perform validation testing and remediate digital documents based on Section 508/WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines.

Provide guidance and estimates to clients for cost and schedule. Good written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS Degree and 2 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma with 4 years’ relevant experience

Ideal Candidate will be proficient in Section 508/WCAG 2.0 compliance review and remediation of documents including: Adobe PDF, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.

Be able to create/execute test script based on the Section 508/WCAG 2.0 regulations at a level for client delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CommonLook

DHS Trusted Tester Certification

Knowledge of PAC-3

Knowledge of California law, A.B. 434

Knowledge of Accessible Canada Act (Bill C-81)

Ability to review websites for Section 508/WCAG 2.0 compliance

Ability to generate Closed captioning and Transcripts on videos

Test and document software accessibility issues and coordinate with developers on remediation approaches/strategies

Knowledge of HTML semantics/tagging

Ability to obtain a security clearance
