Product and Systems Testing
Has responsibility for quality component of assigned products with some guidance, including implementing testing standards, testing of content, functionality, platforms, and systems.
Works directly with product and project managers as part of a cross-departmental development team.
With guidance, evaluates designs and specifications for conformity to standards, consistency with existing products, utility to the intended markets, functionality, and best use of existing internal systems and programs.
Creates and updates test plans; writes and implements test scripts.
Completes testing in accordance with established testing procedures and written test plans.
Makes product release recommendations
Provides resource estimates and timelines for small projects.
Provides input into testing reports and metrics.
Works with senior staff to implement product standards.
Identifies and investigates problems, issues and/or errors in assigned products encountered through the testing process, and makes recommendations for resolution.
Administers error tracking database.
Works with product owners to ensure that quality performance standards are being supported and maintained.
Communicates errors and provides recommendations on product enhancements to project team and other departments as appropriate.
Provides consultation and guidance to management on results of testing and progress to completion of project.
System Support
Tests, and troubleshoots online product features and functionality.
Training and Documentation
Develops, writes, and maintains project and process documentation.
Performs timely and accurate document reviews under supervision of senior staff.
May assist in training of less experienced staff.
Team and Leadership
Collects and provides information for reports.
Deep knowledge of a variety of common accessibility barriers people with hearing, physical, speech, cognitive and visual disabilities experience.
Knowledge and understanding of current laws regarding accessibility, including Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act and WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
3-5 years and expert in accessibility testing against the WCAG 2.1 (AA) Success Criteria and updated Section 508 federal requirements using the following methodologies: visual analysis, screen reader reviews, color sampling, keyboard only, and gesture only.
Expert level understanding of assistive technologies and accessibility-related software including JAWS®, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and provide exceptional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds the needs of internal and external customers.
Ability to work independently, in a team, and without extensive direction.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to accurately and thoroughly document work and keep documentation up to date, while also verifying work of others and delivering feedback.
