We are looking for someone to manage a high-functioning team of three awesome accessibility experts.

SKILLS
Accessibility testing against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0/2.1 Levels A, AA and AAA using assistive technologies and testing tools (Adobe Acrobat Pro (ver XI, DC or higher), NVDA, JAWS, Color Contrast Analyzer, WebAim Wave, ANDI, etc.)

Responsibilities

Team Management

Coordinate team activities which are predominantly: the remediation of learning materials, time extensions and the fulfillment of live transcription requests.

Conduct weekly team huddles to review the coming week, forecast work surges, address problems, and forecast any pain points that might make for a bad customer experience.

Conduct weekly 1:1s, and annual goal-setting and performance reviews.

Support the development of an annual budget, considering cost, risk, and quality.

Attend regular meetings with a small number of vendors we use for overflow. Regularly review vendor utilization reports, and adjust contracts as needed.

Scope projected work and assign hours to each resource. Develop pricing for proposals.

Review and approve timesheets.

Support proposals and corporate communications as needed.

Follow internal workflows to ensure training can be delivered as scheduled and improve them as needed for efficiency and cost reduction.


Accessibility Review

Serve as the resident digital accessibility expert.

Test and remediate learning materials (Microsoft Office files, PDFs, HTML, and multimedia) as needed.

Apply consistent standards across all training modalities.


Leadership

Educate and advise across organizational functions on matters related to accessibility, inclusivity, usability, and learner experience.

Advocate for content strategy and design thinking throughout the broader organization.

Work with Legal on interpretation of accessibility guidelines. Respond to accessibility complaints, often in coordination Account Reps and Legal.

Partner with Learning Development and other functions on how to incorporate accessibility standards early in the production lifecycle, and with the instructors and virtual producers on how to deliver inclusive experiences.

Build trust across the company by solving problems promptly and delivering high-quality customer service.

Evaluate new tools and technologies that improve the accessibility of our learner experience.

Stay current on ADA/Section 504 & 508/WCAG compliance risks and develop mitigation plans.


Bonus Points

Familiarity with Xyleme (a Content Management System), Cornerstone On Demand and Canvas (Learning Management Systems)

Experience working with a training organization, school, or higher education institute.

Experience managing remote teams.
