UI Platform Engineering is a strategically important component to overall Mulesoft Product Engineering success. We’re staffing up this team to focus on ensuring our UI Platform serves the needs of all of our products and customers, by creating and aligning our various product lines on the Lume Design Subsystem, built on the rock solid foundation that is the Salesforce Design System. The position requires strong front-end development skills and a passion for intuitive, consistent and efficient developer & user experience. Location: San Francisco Bay Area, Bueno Aires, Argentina & Remote

Responsibilities:
• Have a passion for advocating for users of all abilities and crafting phenomenal user experiences and micro-interactions
• Architect, build and implement accessible features in MuleSoft’s reusable component library
• Support and partner with product teams in shipping accessible products and resolving accessibility bugs
• Design and develop test cases and implement automated test suites
• Value team excellence over individual productivity
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available

Required Skills:
• Proven and demonstrable track record of being a top performer in current and past roles
• Industry experience in developing or upgrading large web products to meet accessibility standards and best practices. Strong understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Expertise in front-end programming skills including semantic HTML, Javascript, CSS, and Typescript
• Experience with modern Javascript libraries/frameworks such as React (preferred), Angular, or similar
• Great attention to detail and appreciation for design quality, delight and polish.
• Strong communication skills and interest in advocating for accessibility
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Desired Skills:
Solid understanding of web component architecture principles
• Passion to improve the web for people with a diverse range of abilities
• Experience using assistive technologies (such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)
• Experience with agile software development, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD)
• Experience with unit testing tools/frameworks such as Jest
• Familiarity with Lightning Web Components and Salesforce Lightning Design System is a plus

Open to Fully Remote, Flex (1-3 days/week in the office), or Office-Based (4-5 days/week in office)
