Hybrid - Columbus, OH. 2 days in office.
Potential contract to hire in 2026.
Required Education:
• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics or related field is strongly preferred.
• Graduate studies are preferred.
• Significant insurance related studies gained by technical insurance designation is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience as a Product Owner or similar role in digital product development.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+, ADA, Section 508).
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Axe, WAVE, and screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS).
• Ability to communicate the value of accessibility through data and user stories.
• Experience working in agile environments and managing cross-functional collaboration.
Overview
• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Accessibility Product Owner to lead the charge in making our digital products and documents more inclusive for individuals with disabilities.
• This role will focus on driving accessibility improvements across web, mobile, and PDF experiences, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and enhancing usability for all users.
• The Accessibility Product Owner will partner closely with the Product Manager to align team priorities with broader business goals, manage and prioritize the accessibility backlog, and collaborate across cross-functional teams including design, engineering, and compliance.
• This role requires a strong understanding of accessibility best practices (WCAG, ADA), digital product development, and user-centered design.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and prioritize the accessibility backlog, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business impact.
• Collaborate with product managers to align accessibility initiatives with enterprise digital strategy
• Work with designers, developers, and QA to ensure accessibility is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
• Advocate for inclusive design and accessibility across the organization.
• Analyze accessibility audit results and user feedback to inform roadmap decisions.
• Support accessibility improvements in both digital interfaces and document formats (e.g., PDFs)."
