Director, Culture, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - Accessibility Center of Excellence
About the Team/Position
You will have an opportunity to have direct impact on Culture, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy at a time when CDEI is a critical issue for our society and company. Working with senior leadership across the company you will help in the development of an accessibility strategy across the entire organization. This individual will be a critical part of the founding team for the Accessibility Center of Excellence (ACE). They will lead the development and execution of strategy for ACE collaborating across the enterprise to drive impact in the accessibility of our digital and physical experiences for both. You have a global mindset and are able to see the big picture to create a viable strategy as well as the tactical know how necessary to put strategy into practice.
You are an expert in Accessibility work and understand how to influence, build, and execute strategies to improve accessibility while managing to business priorities.
You are familiar with ADA and passionate about making websites accessible and in identifying usability issues and WCAG failures.
You can collaborate with other product managers, designers, compliance, operations and technology teams to grow a culture and understanding of accessibility standards
Anticipate and identify emerging regulatory trends that can position Walmart to be a leader in this domain
Translate complex problems into executable MVPs, communicate a plan and vision, and gain stakeholder consensus
You have experience directly managing multiple complex projects and dotted line teams, engaging with leadership directly and influencing peers to advance agendas.
You have a proven track record of leading high performing teams
You are familiar with leveraging data to inform decision making and influence strategy
You have demonstrated proficiency in managing cross-functional teams
Understand a range of international guidelines and best practices to inform product feature requirements
Perform competitive analyses, conduct market research, and synthesize customer insights and analytics to develop evidence-based points of view
Partner with industry advocacy groups to understand the needs of users
Communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Building the standards and structure for Walmart’s Accessibility Center of Excellence which will accelerate Walmart’s ability to meet the diverse needs of all customers and associates, including those with disabilities.
Benchmarking and building frameworks for advancing Walmart’s accessibility efforts both in the digital and physical space.
Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Cultivating an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and 5 years' experience in human resources, talent development, organizational development, or a related field OR 7 years' experience in human resources, talent development, organizational development, or a related field
2 years of supervisory experience
