Job Description

Visa is heavily investing in its Global Product Design Team to help support its growing digital product line. Visa Global Product Design is comprised of five specializations: Design, Research & Accessibility, Design Engineering, Design Operations and Content Creation & Design Strategy. Design is looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our team.

We believe that great design has the ability to engage and inspire users, and we strive to rethink and redefine how users interact with Visa's applications and products. Our team members are innovative thinkers and strategic problem solvers who are as analytical as they are creative. We value hard work, accountability, and collaboration, and we prize proven skills and team success

We are looking for various levels of experiences that include more junior roles up to the advance level tenure. This would include both individual contributor roles and people manager roles. The roles will give opportunity in designing usable, accessible, and engaging user experiences for Visa's digital product line. The more senior roles will play a critical role in helping craft the end-to-end commerce journeys for partner payment platforms and direct to consumer payment experiences. You will drive the vision for what a world class digital payments experience should be. You’ll be responsible in developing elegant and simple experiences that help solve complex business and design challenges. This is an extraordinary opportunity to influence customer experiences at Visa with high impact and scale.

We prefer candidates work from one of our Design Research hubs—Austin, San Francisco, Foster City or New York City, but are open to other Visa locations

For accessibility candidates, we are looking for experience in WCAG 2.0/2.1 website/app, mobile web, document, and native mobile testing & analysis to consult with teams working to make accessible internal and consumer-facing payment tools and applications. These roles will provide accessibility support for product development teams and will test, solve, and consult on accessibility issues at all stages of the lifecycle using the company-wide internal standard for accessibility compliance, the Visa Global Accessibility Requirements (VGAR).

The ideal candidate thrives in a work environment that requires independent problem-solving skills, self-direction, and innovative thinking coupled with an aptitude and affinity for team collaboration and open communication. This individual is both highly analytical as well as highly creative, and consistently demonstrates superb design, writing and presentation skills. This individual actively fosters collaboration both inside and outside the team, evangelizes and promotes inclusive experiences within the company, and can juggle providing support for several high-level projects while delivering A-level work on all of them.

Exercises independent judgment balanced with direction from supervisor. Will need to collaborate with and influence staff as a natural extension of working to design, implement, and deliver accessible solutions.
