Position: Accessibility Support Officer
FTE: Full time, fixed term (Until March 2026)
Location: Across multiple campuses
About The Role
Are you passionate about creating inclusive environments and ensuring equal access for all? Do you thrive on supporting individuals and removing barriers to accessibility? If so, we want YOU to join our team as an Accessibility Support Officer!
As an Accessibility Support Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing accessibility across our organization. The Accessibility Support Officers role may provide specific support for students in the following streams or settings: notetaking, in- class support, support with practical and written assessments, enabling communication with teachers on behalf of the students. You will join an incredibly supportive team to carry out BKI’s mission of enhancing accessibility and inclusivity for our students!
Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance and support on accessibility-related matters
Assist individuals with reasonable adjustments and accommodations.
Stay up to date with accessibility regulations and best practices.
Support students based on their unique needs and provide a positive classroom experience
Ensure notetaking is comprehensive and confidential e.g.: case notes
Key Requirements
Experience in accessibility support, disability services, or related fields.
Experience of working with disabilities within an education setting is beneficial
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Willingness to travel to a variety of our campuses based on departments needs
Valid WWCC and willingness to obtain a Police Check
