Position Overview:We are seeking an Expert in Accessibility Matters to ensure the adherence to accessibility standards and conduct assessments within the realm of Maintenance and Prototype Development for Microsoft Windows Platform. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Section 508, WCAG 2.0 AA, and 2.1 AA standards and possess extensive experience in mobile application accessibility.

Responsibilities:

Conduct accessibility assessments compliant with Section 508, WCAG 2.0 AA, and 2.1 AA standards for BARD Express for Windows applications.

Collaborate with the development team to ensure the integration of platform-specific accessibility features for MS Windows OS, including accessibility, haptic feedback, voice control commands, and streaming audio playback, adhering to best practices.

Utilize expertise in Screen readers, Magnifier, Speak Screen, and other assistive technologies to assess and enhance accessibility.

Provide guidance on accessible design and development practices during the maintenance and prototype development phase.

Stay abreast of advancements in accessibility technologies and standards, applying this knowledge to continually improve mobile application accessibility.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency in conducting accessibility assessments compliant with Section 508, WCAG 2.0 AA, and 2.1 AA standards.
In-depth expertise in utilizing Screen readers, Magnifier, Speak Screen, and other assistive technologies.
Familiarity with a range of assistive technologies, including switches and speech recognition.
Extensive five-year experience in ensuring accessibility in the realm of mobile applications.
Strong understanding of UX and UI practices with a focus on accessible design.
Previous experience in conducting accessibility assessments for mobile applications.
