As an Accessibility Lead, you will lead the accessibility practice at Pinterest on the Gestalt Design system team. Accessibility is key to not only upholding our core values of inclusion, but also for innovative and improved experiences. By integrating with Design and the Gestalt Design system you will help to bring Accessibility more deeply into the product process.

What you'll do:

Audit and elevate a11y best practices throughout Pinterest, recommending refinements, and providing documentation
Give workshops and help train designers and developers on best practices
Consult with Web engineers to ensure quality a11y experiences are upheld beyond compliance
Work with Gestalt to identify components and patterns for refinement and prioritization
Track and coordinate the accessibility efforts across Pinterest, helping to raise it's visibility and education
Work with Gestalt to develop company-wide Accessibility standards and an Accessibility program roadmap
What we're looking for:

A candidate with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills to coordinate across multiple disciplines
A deep understanding of Accessibility compliance with knowledge US and International support
A familiarity with current and potential upcoming standards and how it can affect our products
An understanding of technical implementations and how to provide basic functional recommendations

This is a temporary contract position at Pinterest. As such, the contractor who fills this role will be employed either by our staffing partner (PRO Unlimited) or by an agency supplier partner, and not an employee of Pinterest.
All interviews will be scheduled and/or conducted by the Pinterest assignment manager. When a finalist has been selected, PRO Unlimited or the agency supplier partner will extend the offer and provide assignment details including duration, benefits options and onboarding details.
