Website Accessibility Audits & Consultations
Allyada
Queens, New York,USA
Are you legally blind or partially sighted and passionate about making the internet more accessible? Allyada is launching an exciting new project focused on evaluating website accessibility across the United States—and we want your voice to be part of it.
This freelance opportunity is specifically for individuals who are legally blind or partially sighted and reside in certain U.S. states. We believe that the lived experiences of blind and low-vision users are essential to creating a more inclusive digital world.
Who We're Looking For:
•
Individuals who can provide proof of legal blindness (e.g., a medical document or certification from a Commission for the Blind).
•
You’ll need access to a laptop to conduct the reviews, or you’re welcome to join us in person at our office in Queens, NY.
What the Project Involves:
•
You'll be reviewing 50 websites to assess their accessibility.
•
Sessions will be held remotely via Zoom, taking about 5 hours in total (broken down into 60–90 minute segments depending on your pace and comfort with computers).
•
You’ll receive $500 upon completing the full set of audits.
•
If interested, we can also connect you with a legal expert in case you'd like to take action against websites that don’t meet accessibility standards.
Why Join Us?
Your feedback and insights are invaluable. While we do offer payment to honor your time and expertise, this project is about more than just compensation—it's about building a web that truly works for everyone.
