About the Opportunity:
DMI, LLC is seeking a ACCESSIBLITY LEAD/508 COMPLIANCE SME

Duties and Responsibilities: The Accessibility Lead is responsible for ensuring the overall accessibility of products and services provided in this contract. Collaborating with various delivery teams, the Accessibility Lead ensures that all deliverables meet or exceed accessibility requirements outlined in the contract. This role requires a deep understanding of accessibility standards and regulations, as well as the ability to establish and implement processes for analysis, testing, and remediation of electronic documents and web applications.

Work with delivery teams to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements for all deliverables.
Establish processes for analysis, testing, and remediation of electronic documents and web applications to meet accessibility standards.
Prepare accurate Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR) or Voluntary Accessibility Product Templates (VPAT) demonstrating accessibility levels of deliverables.
Collect feedback on accessibility issues and develop standard operating procedures for remediation or escalation.
Ensure the accessibility and inclusiveness of the customer experience for all customers, regardless of disability or assistive technology used.
Incorporate accessibility considerations throughout agile development and delivery processes.

Qualifications:
Education and Years of Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in accessibility/508 compliance for a government agency.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

One or more of the following certifications: Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA), or DHS Trusted Tester Program V5.

Additional Requirements:

In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and regulations, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Experience in establishing processes for analysis, testing, and remediation of electronic documents and web applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of agile development methodologies.
Familiarity with assistive technologies and their impact on accessibility.
