The Digital Accessibility specialist manager role will sit within the Digital Accessibility team for Integrated Services. This role will support the delivery of the firmwide strategy and aligns with the firmwide Inclusion & diversity agenda, focusing on managing digital accessibility efforts across PwC products and technology. We are looking for a Digital Accessibility Specialist to join the Digital Accessibility team who will help grow our expertise in supporting internal teams and clients with digital accessibility auditing and web compliance capabilities.

We are particularly keen to attract people with accessibility auditing knowledge and experience in embedding accessibility strategies would be beneficial.

Reporting to the Digital Accessibility lead, as an accessibility specialist your role will be to:

Collaborate with key stakeholders; working with stakeholders across internal and business teams, IT Suppliers and Product Vendors as a Subject Matter Expert.

Provide technical expertise; using your knowledge of accessibility guidelines upskill teams on the subject of Accessibility & Digital Inclusion.

Use accessibility testing tools and techniques; to ensure teams are upskilled and have the capability to deliver technology solutions which can be used by everyone.

Identify opportunities for service improvements; proactively seek out optimization and continued service improvement activities based upon reporting data and regulatory compliance.

This role will support client teams to prepare an accessibility audit framework, along with upskilling, to ensure compliance with Regulatory Standards. The role will support business teams drive innovation to make digital services and products accessible.

You will be responsible for using your digital accessibility, audit testing and technology experience to contribute to the design and delivery of an accessibility assessment framework and underpinning processes. We are an evolving team, so people that can be agile with change and who are keen to learn would be desirable.

Typical activities associated with the role are set out below, however this role is dynamic and will require the candidate to be flexible in what is asked of them:

Ability to drive a program to deliver a digital accessibility strategy within business areas or individual teams.

Demonstrate excellent knowledge of current, and new, accessibility standards and legislation (including WCAG 2.1 Level AA, European Accessibility Act (EEA) and ISO 30071-1).

Proven experience performing manual and automated accessibility testing (including screen reader(s) such as NVDA, Dragon and JAWS). With experience in documenting findings from accessibility assessments/audits.

Knowledge of assistive technologies used by people with disabilities, and how they interact with digital products.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to integrate well into a team and build effective relationships.

Experience in delivering accessibility focused workshops to educate teams responsible for assessing technology products against accessibility standards.

Ability to make complex and technical information simple and accessible for non-technical audiences.

Demonstrate proven organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment with competing priorities.

Any relevant professional qualifications such as:

Certification(s) Preferred (not essential): IAAP certifications in one of more CPACC / WAS or CPABE or combined CPWA.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Evidence of leading/supporting accessibility focused projects.
