Accessible SVG Engineer & Animator

We are seeking an scalable vector graphics (SVG) / XML programmer / animator. Familiar with animating and exporting XML code. This role would program and conduct code audits against WCAG 2.0 - 2.2 and accessibility best practices on multiple digital platforms. We will provide the SVG illustrations - you will need to just need to animate and test various media queries.

- Take initiative to code and deliver accessible SVG files and provide actionable steps on how to fix accessibility issues.
- Work remotely to help review and provide feedback on accessibility files across browsers.
- Help guide clients for best practices when inserting code into their systems.
- Support inclusivity and accessibility in every project
- Must be a self-starter and have a good time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences
- Enjoys watching IT Crowd

About you

We are looking for people with different perspectives from around the world. People with lived experiences give the best insight as to how to design for accessibility. Experience with WCAG 2.0 - 2.2 auditing on web and on mobile platforms. Ideally having some knowledge of assistive technology (AT) for testing such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver. Knowledge of XML, HTML, HTML5 required, advanced knowledge of CSS and JavaScript preferred.
An understanding of WAI-ARIA and commonly used ARIA attributes.
