Regulatory & Compliance Program Manager

Through our company-wide accessibility program, we strive to innovate products and services using Inclusive Design methodologies, manage accessibility-related regulations and provide subject matter expertise on digital and hardware accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

The Regulatory and Compliance program manager will work with others from the Office of Aging and Accessibility and the company to deliver on HP’s accessibility commitments. This position is responsible for review and implementation of global accessibility regulatory changes. Accountable for influencing, monitoring, analyzing, and determining regulatory changes which impact HP products and services. Coordinate with product and services team's implementation of changes including drafting of communications and training. Work across HP operational areas (legal, business, compliance teams) ensuring all teams are up to date with current and upcoming accessibility regulations.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Audit and Assurance

Responsibility for updating, resourcing, tracking of progress of accessibility audits and assurance. Audits are conducted annually and housed in the Accessibility Record Management system.
Update accessibility regulations and compliance obligations in HP’s Compliance Assessment Program (CAP).
Maintain and update the Office of Aging and Accessibility Regulatory Compliance resource site, ensuring all audit documentation and processes are visible and up to date for internal stakeholders.
Communications with Business Units

Serve as “front-line help desk” to Business Units (BU) for Accessibility Regulatory Compliance Program questions and OAA policies and procedures.
Monitor the OAA regulations mailbox and address questions that pertain to current and future accessibility regulations inquiries.
Regularly communicate with HP business units, Worldwide Technical Regulations, Compliance and Standards teams on a regular basis, ensuring HP teams are up to date on current accessibility compliance and regulatory obligations.


Demonstrated commitment to accessibility and disability inclusion.
Expertise in the application of accessibility guidelines and laws including but not limited to: Section 508, WCAG, EN 301 549, CVAA, and ADA.
Program management experience including strategic planning, organization, execution, and follow-through.
Project management experience overseeing process improvements.
Familiarity and experience with the product development life cycle and general product development workflows.
Experience managing complex cross-functional regulation initiatives at multiple levels within the company, with precise, influential communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security.
Bachelor degree in engineering, or equivalent, advance degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting compliance and accessibility programs.
Experience in product development.
Experience with hardware, software, and electronic content accessibility.
