Remote Accessibility Consultant

Insight Global's Client in the Streaming Domain is seeking a Accessibility Consultant to join their team. Responsibilities include:

Help oversee the strategic accessibility roadmap for the Pluto TV platform.


Provide subject matter expertise on accessibility, inclusive design, and user experience.


Assess new product designs and provide feedback on their adaptability with assistive technologies.


Collaborate with product teams to promote accessibility enhancements and features within our products.


Review our products, looking for accessibility issues and design changes to our features in order to make our platforms more accessible and inclusive.


Present findings to internal product teams, educating designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers on specific accessibility requirements.


Document accessibility requirements in JIRA for design deliverables, user stories, and bugs.


Identify new opportunities to support and contribute to the growth of the Accessibility Compliance team.


Create accessible PDFs for documentation and circulation.


Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for product process and innovation.

Comfortable presenting ideas and designs to a group of passionate engineering peers.
Bachelors degree or higher in User Experience, Computer Science, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in digital accessibility and compliance in the technology space.

Deep knowledge of WCAG standards and working knowledge of assistive technologies, such as JAWS/VoiceOver, ZoomText, keyboard input, audio description, and closed captioning tools.

Experience applying accessibility standards and tools to product development.

Experience and knowledge in Agile software development.

Working experience with JIRA project management software.

Strong documentation skills: ability to create compelling, detail-oriented documentation that sets up design, engineering, and testing teams for success.
