As the Worldwide Learning Director of Compliance, Accessibility & Governance, you’ll lead a team responsible for Worldwide Learning’s Compliance, Accessibility and Governance Programs designed to enable and empower our WWL teams to meet Microsoft’s accessibility, compliance, and quality standards as well as applicable laws. You and your team will partner closely with other Microsoft compliance and accessibility teams, product and program management, content creators, engineering, and customer success to ensure our learning products as well as supporting tools and processes delight customers and internal users, are secure, and are inclusive and accessible to everyone. You’ll be part of a growing and dynamic team operating in a fast-paced cadence.

In this role you would influence universal inclusive design practices and policies within program and product design to enable 1) delivery of high-quality, scalable training and certification products and programs through a structed quality governance process 2) delivery of digital properties, tools, and processes that are accessible and adhere to privacy, global readiness and other Microsoft policies/standards.
Responsibilities

Lead the team responsible for Worldwide Learning’s Compliance, Accessibility & Governance Programs for all training and certification including supporting process and tooling
Oversee the strategy and execution of a comprehensive set of compliance, accessibility, and quality programs designed to enable Microsoft WWL and our people to deliver inclusive and accessible learning and certification products and programs
Oversee the design and implementation of a Quality Governance framework ensuring required standards are adopted and adhered to (consistency, repeatability, and continuous improvement in quality process)
Invest in growth and empowerment of a team of strong and diverse people
Build a culture of curiosity and growth, customer focus, and an environment that enables everyone to realize their full potential
Drive operational excellence across budget, ROI optimization, team execution, and high-quality reporting and insights
Deep engagement with Business Decision Makers and strategic stakeholders to deliver strong business outcomes
Enable end to end processes through the use of tools such as AzDO and others that enable teams to produce high quality products and programs efficiently and at scale
Work with program, product and engineering teams to support and deliver solutions and new capabilities for successful, inclusive and accessible product and program delivery

Qualifications

You will need strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to find creative and practical solutions to complex issues in ambiguous situations. You also thrive in a team environment that values cross-team collaboration and building on the success of others.


Direct people management experience or experience managing and influencing complex virtual teams to deliver on agreed commitments.
Experience in the application of or knowledge of accessibility guidelines (such as Section 508, WCAG, and EN 301 549) and technologies
5+ years of program management experience including strategic planning, organization, execution, and follow-through
Proven experience overseeing process improvements and/or digital transformation
Impact, influence, and ability to deal with ambiguity


Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of people management experience with a deep commitment to and track record of up-leveling team members to optimize team performance and output
Education or related experience in technical fields such as computer science, engineering, information management.
Education or related experience in communication, instructional design, content project management.
Certification or training in Accessibility (such as Trusted Tester or CPACC) or other compliance related areas.
Experience at leading quality governance framework/process
Experience overseeing or supporting Compliance and Accessibility programs
Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management training or certification, with real-world practical experience
Change Management training or certification (such as Prosci Change Management) a plus
