Duration: Contract/Contract to Hire
Location: Remote

Description
Accessibility Trainer with experience working in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment. As an A11y
(Accessibility) Trainer, you will work closely with other disciplines and A11y teams across the
organization to create A11y training for the enterprise. You will be an A11y champion across many
teams and partner with product owners, agile managers, and leadership to help grow an understanding of accessibility across the organization. Your role will help equip product owners, designers, engineers, quality engineers, and others with the accessibility knowledge they need to ensure successful delivery of accessible digital products.

Qualifications
• 5+ years bringing digital products to life
• 3+ years in a role focusing on disability inclusion or digital accessibility
• 1+ year(s) working on a team using agile or lean development practices

Skills
• Has ability to simplify complex or abstract concepts
• Prioritizes information architecture just as highly as aesthetic design
• Well-versed in the varieties of assistive technologies (AT) and the design patterns that work well
• with them
• Expert knowledge of digital accessibility and a demonstrated ability to provide guidance to
• teams
• Understanding of inclusive and universal design principles
• Deep understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Understands the intent and shortcomings of WCAG and how user experience (UX) can be
• improved beyond strict compliance
• Demonstrates technical expertise in an accessibility area or platform (web, iOS, Android)
• Ability to analyze (Android, iOS, web) code and recommend best solutions
• Has Android and iOS experience
• Knowledge of mobile accessibility best practices on Android and iOS
• Communicates clearly and concisely

Responsibilities
• Create accessible training materials for multiple different disciplines
• Create and deliver educational materials, workshops, and trainings across web and native
• Be a vocal and confident advocate of accessibility
• Track documented and evolving patterns adopted across the Enterprise
• Collaborate with different disciplines to provide accessibility guidance
• Act as an accessibility resource for developers
• Advocate for others across the enterprise to adopt accessibility best practices
• Bring a depth of development and technical knowledge that complements and strengthens a
• culture beginning to apply a11y practices in design, engineering, and QA
• Help strengthen cross-collaboration between disciplines to create accessible experiences
• Support ongoing accessibility advocacy and learning
• Motivate and uplift accessibility partners across the Enterprise
