Accessibility Manager

Job Description

Kaplan is looking for an Accessibility Manager to join our legal team. The person in this role will coordinate, project manage and drive accessibility initiatives across Kaplan Test Prep’s digital products. This is an ideal role for someone who has a strong understanding about the industry as well as the various products offered by KTP. Prior experience with accessibly is preferred but a strong interest and understanding of accessibility and the test prep industry is imperative.

Kaplan is looking for a candidate that:

feels passionately about accessibility,

has strong project management experience and skills,

has experience with, or is excited to learn about, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0), training and auditing,

enjoys working across teams, and

wants to be a key player on a company priority.

Responsibilities will include, in coordination with product and technology teams:

deep understanding of features of Kaplan products and user experience,

assessing and cataloging the accessibility of digital products,

updating/creating checklists and training materials for accessible product development (e.g., captions, alt text, color contrast, keyboard navigability),

completing accessibility questionnaires of institutional clients,

identifying potential accessibility enhancements to Kaplan products, and

monitoring developments in accessibility standards and accessible design.

Some experience with accessible design or auditing is preferred but not required. Project management skills preferred.
