As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality new and enhanced chase products. As Accessibility & Test Automation software engineer, role will entail regression and new feature testing on the all platforms during both Continuous Delivery and client release phases.

Responsibility

As an Accessibility engineer, you will be involved very early stages where you will be required to work with product, designer and data engineer to ensure Accessibility requirements are flown in across Req + subsequent designs.
You will be required to keep yourself and scrum team up to date with the Accessibility (WCAG) practices and test board stories in depth for the accessibility closures.

You will often work with scrum team members to ensure Accessibility learnings are well adopted.

As a skilled test automation engineer, responsibility will be to design automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems and tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being tested and test automated. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development and lean product management, the role will require proficiency in all aspects of software testing, include test automating in our CI/CD pipeline in order to reduce the number of defects and continuously improve software development cycles.
1. Research issues in software through manual testing.
2. Designing and developing test automation scripts as part of in-sprint effort.
3. Use firm test automation guidelines.
4. Collaborate with Business Analyst and Software Developers to improve test coverage and automation
5. Work closely with Product Owners to improve acceptance testing automation.
6. Improve and maintain test logic and tools within the CI/CD pipeline.

Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent experience

Experience

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including, experience with software testing on accessibility following WCAG abd automation testing using libraries such as Behave or other BDD/Gherkin-based framework, Selenium, CI/CD experience using Jenkins.

Experience implementing World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) WCAG specifications

Perform in-depth assessments of client facing pages and features submitted for testing to get product to an AA level of compliance.

Stay up-to-date on the latest WCAG & Section 508 standards

Hands-on experience with 508 tools such as AXE, JAWS, PAW, WAT, Ferret, Narrator, or Common Look, or others

Web accessibility testing including Semi-automated scans, manual reviews, keyboard only, color sampling, and screen reader testing - Web: NVDA, JAWS, Mobile: VoiceOver, Talkback

Technical Skills

1. Strong knowledge and hands on experience with accessibility tests.

2. Understanding of architecture and design across all systems

3. Understanding of modern design patterns

4. Knowledge and experience using popular build tools, like MAVEN, NPM and Gradle as well as Development Tools (XCode, Android Studio)

5. Exposure to test automation tools/frameworks (e.g. Appium, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium Grid, Junit, SOAP-UI, Eclipse, Jenkins, CA-Lisa, Ant, Maven, Visual Studio)

7. Exposure to manual/automation test management packages

8. Ability to write automated test scenarios using selenium framework and help with functional and user acceptance testing.

9. Knowledge of Atlassian JIRA, bitbucket and Confluence products

10.Solid understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA) and the ability to recommend and provide guidance on how to fix defects.

11. ADA Certified (certification preferred but not mandatory)

1. Active and motivated self-learner with the ability to develop deep domain knowledge

2. Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication across all levels

3. Ability to manage own day-to-day workload, and ensure delivery to required deadlines

4. Form excellent working relationships with all involved teams at various levels of seniority

5. Planning and coordinating test activities within sprint cycles

6. Oversee defect resolutions

7. Ability to operated comfortably in a multi-task / multi priority environment across

8. Experience of working in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

9. Collaborate with product owners to design measurable acceptance criteria and drive clear definitions of done.

10. Provide regular progress updates and ensure escalation of any serious issues.

11. Provide ideas on improving existing test processes to achieve efficiencies.
