The Anywhere UX team is a quickly growing and constantly evolving team being positioned as an inspiring leader in the company. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accessibility Designer to join our team and redefine the way people interact with real estate technology. As the Senior Accessibility Designer, you will play a crucial role in driving accessibility initiatives across our digital products, including web applications, mobile apps, and other user interfaces. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in crafting a barrier-free digital experience for our customers. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, developers, and quality assurance, to implement inclusive design practices and deliver outstanding user experiences.

Responsibilities

Lead Accessibility Initiatives: Champion accessibility and inclusivity as a core value, ensuring that our digital products align with accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices, including WCAG 2.1 and beyond.

Accessibility Audits: Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits and usability testing on existing products to identify barriers and areas for improvement. Develop and implement a roadmap to address accessibility issues.

Design and Prototyping: Build accessible wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups that address the needs of users with disabilities and align with the company's branding and user experience guidelines.

Collaborative Design: Collaborate with UX designers and developers to integrate accessibility features seamlessly into the design and development process, considering various assistive technologies.

User Research: Partner with user research to conduct interviews and usability testing to capture insights from users with diverse abilities and incorporate their feedback into the design process.

Training and Advocacy: Educate and mentor the design and development teams on accessibility standard methodologies, encouraging a culture of accessibility and appreciation for all users.

Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Look out for emerging accessibility standards, guidelines, and technologies to ensure our products remain innovative and meet evolving user needs.

Compliance Reporting: Supervise and maintain accessibility compliance records and reports, ensuring that our products meet industry standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) as a UX designer with a focus on accessibility, preferably in a real estate or e-commerce domain.
Strong understanding of web accessibility guidelines, including WCAG, and experience applying these principles in real-world projects.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
Familiarity with assistive technologies and their impact on user experiences.
Ability to conduct accessibility audits, usability testing, and user research.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
A portfolio demonstrating your successful implementation of accessible designs and user-centered solutions.

Compensation Range

$110,000 - $190,000 ; At Anywhere, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
