The Role
As an Accessibility Engineer, you will play a key role within our Platform UI team, enabling the execution of our Accessibility Programme. You will be responsible for evaluating our products for best accessibility practices, empowering our users to succeed.
By solving challenges and driving initiatives forward, you'll contribute directly to our goal of making our user and customer-facing experiences accessible and inclusive across our product and marketing platforms.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with designers, developers, QE analysts, and marketing professionals, to identify critical accessibility gaps and make recommendations across our platforms. You'll dive into code to resolve issues and enhance our products' accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct accessibility audits using various assistive technologies and evaluation tools to locate issues and identify areas of non-compliance
Translate audit results into VPAT documentation and create Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs)
Present findings to product and development teams in a clear, concise format to drive actionable insights
Work with development teams to resolve issues in web and mobile applications
Support the web and marketing teams to validate accessible media content such as video, audio, PDF documents, etc.
Must Have:
Experience in one or more JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue (React preferred)
Extensive knowledge of semantic HTML and proper use of ARIA
Experience with assistive technologies, such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, Narrator, VoiceOver), voice command (Apple Voice Control, Windows Voice Access, Dragon), and/or screen magnification (Windows Magnifier, Apple Zoom, ZoomText, SuperNova)
Familiarity with laws, standards, and guidelines for accessibility (WCAG, ATAG, Section 508, EN 301 549)
Proficiency in accessibility evaluation tools such as WebAIM WAVE, Deque Axe DevTools, Microsoft Accessibility Insights, ANDI (U.S. Social Security Administration), Chrome Lighthouse
Experience in conducting accessibility audits and completing VPAT/ACR documents
What You Need to Succeed:
IAAP certification(s) (CPACC, WAS, CPWA) a strong asset
Ability to distinguish between normative and non-normative/informative WCAG documentation
Experience with automated testing frameworks (Cypress preferred)
Experience with native mobile development for iOS and/or Android
