The developer role is key to delivering the University’s Accessibility project for the corporate website. Ensuring that our web content is accessible and available to as many prospective students as possible.

Reporting to the Head of Campaigns and Digital and managing two Web Officers focused on web accessibility. You will take a leading role in reviewing and updating the accessibility road map and carrying out the development required to ensure that we are compliant with The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations .

Essential

Able to provide a portfolio and examples of previous work.
Proven knowledge and understanding of UX / UI which puts usability and accessibility at the forefront.
years front end development experience in HTML, CSS and jQuery.
years’ experience of front end development using ASP.NET, C# and MVC.
Use of source control repositories such as GIT, SVN or TFS.
Experience in Agile / Scrum development methodologies.
Desirable

Experience in Photoshop or Fireworks.
Experience of building to meet WCAG . / . guidelines.
